My name is William Fagre-Knudsen and I’m a portrait photographer drawn to honest moments and the quiet electricity between people. Before picking up a camera professionally, I spent years as a touring musician and poet—work that trained me to notice rhythm, nuance, and the small details that make a person unmistakably themselves. Photography became a natural extension of that instinct: another way to listen closely and translate feeling into something tangible.
My approach is relaxed, collaborative, and grounded in trust. I don’t believe great portraits come from stiff posing or forced smiles—they come from comfort, conversation, and letting people show up as they are. Whether I’m photographing individuals, couples, families, or professionals, my goal is always the same: images that feel real, timeless, and unmistakably you.
Now based in Central-Iowa, I work with clients who want photographs that still feel true years from now. I bring a calm presence, a careful eye, and a deep respect for the vulnerability it takes to step in front of a lens.
If you’re looking for portraits that feel human, grounded, and quietly powerful, let's connect!
